To add a new service, you'll want to navigate to Settings > Services > Add New Service -
This will take you to the Add New Service flow -
This page is divided into the following fields -
- Service Name - This is the service name that clients will see when booking an appointment.
- Service Internal Name - This is the service name that staff will see when logged into the Backoffice - if this field is left blank the value of the Service Name field will be used.
- Service Description - This appears underneath the service's name on the Client Scheduler and can be used to provide more details about the particular service.
- Staff who will offer this service - This lists the different staff members on the account that offer this service.
- Screening Question - This is where you can assign a screening question to this service from the list of questions you've added. Screening questions allow you to make sure that clients meet certain criteria before they are allowed to see the available times for appointments. Only 1 screening question can be applied per service.
- Allow Waitlist - Check this box if you would like to apply a waitlist to this service. This will make it so that if a client is trying to book this service on a date where all availability is being used, it will prompt them to join a waitlist that will notify them if any times become available.
- Private Service - Check this box if you would like to show this service only at the service's private URL and in the Backoffice when staff are adding appointments for clients.
- Appointment Duration - This is how long the appointment lasts for the client. You can extend the total time that gets booked on the staff's schedule by adding a buffer before or after the appointment.
- Multiple Durations - If you offer a service that can last for multiple time slots, check this box and you can enter the different durations that clients can book. This gets covered in more detail in the service profile documentation.
- Buffer Before - Applying a buffer before your service will add some padding before the start time. This gets covered in more detail in the service profile documentation.
- Buffer After - Applying a buffer after your service will add some padding after the end time. This gets covered in more detail in the service profile documentation.
- Service Price - This is how much money booking 1 appointment for the service costs. If you have a payment portal set up and require payment, then the client will be asked to submit the dollar amount entered in this field upon booking (unless there is a deposit amount entered).
- Deposit - If you don't require the full price for the service upon booking, but only want to collect a deposit amount, enter that amount in this field. You must have a price entered in order to have a deposit.
After creating a new service profile, you can also check to verify which Locations this service can be offered at. This gets adjusted in the Location Specific Availability for Service section of the Time page on each service's profile.
