In this page we will cover how to add and edit multi duration services - these are services that have more than 1 duration defined. For example, if you're a massage therapist and you offer 30 minute, 45 minute and 1 hour massages, you won't have to create 3 individual services and can instead create 1 service and assign it 3 different durations. This will allow your clients to choose the massage and then select the duration they want for it.
Here we will cover how to -
As you're adding your new service, check the box next to Multiple Durations -
Once Multiple Durations has been turned on, you will have the option to add multiple durations - in this example, you will assign an external name to the shorter massage (1), set an internal name that staff will see (2), set the duration to 30 minutes (3) and then to add another duration you'll need to click on the + button (4) -
After the + button has been clicked, a new row will appear where you can enter an additional duration -
If you need remove a duration, you'll just need to click on the red delete button next to it (1), or if you need to rearrange the order of the durations (the order in which the client sees the different durations on the scheduler) use the up and down arrows (2) -
After you have finished entering all the different service durations, scroll down to the price section where you can assign a price to each service duration. This is helpful if you accept payment at the time of booking or would like to display prices to your clients on the Client Scheduler -
You can also set a different deposit amount for each duration if you require 1 at the time of booking. In the example below I have decided to not assign a deposit to these service durations -
After the different durations and prices have been set, click on the green Save Service button to save the new service -
In your list of services and classes a multi duration service will have "Multi Duration" in the Duration column -
After the service has been added and appears on the Client Scheduler for clients to select, they will see a dropdown next to the service description where they will have to first select a duration in order to be able to book an appointment -
Now that we've covered how to add multiple duration services, we'll cover how to edit them. In the following example I will show you how to change the durations and update the price for each duration.
Begin by going to Settings > Service & Classes > click on the View button next to the multi duration service to go to that service's profile -
Once on the service's profile, click on the Time tab and then click on the blue Edit button on the upper right -
Once the Time section goes into edit mode, you can update the different durations, the order in which they appear and the internal names. Click on the green Save button once you've made the desired changes -
Next, to edit the prices associated with the different durations, click on the Payments tab on the left side of the screen and then click on the blue Edit button in the Payments section -
Once the Payments screen goes into edit mode you can update the price associated with each duration, assign a deposit for each duration and make the service taxable. Click on the green Save button once you've made the necessary changes -
Once the changes have been made you can test your scheduler to ensure they look the way you want them -
If you have created a single duration service and would like to change it to a multiple duration service, begin by going to Settings > Services & Classes > click View next to the service you want to change -
Once on the service's profile click on the Time tab on the left side of the screen and then click on the blue Edit button on the upper right of the Time section -
In the example below you'll notice that this service has a duration of 1 hour. If this service is to be offered in multiple durations, you'll need to check the box next to Multiple Durations -
Once the Multiple Durations option has been selected, simply click on the + button next to the original duration to add a new duration -
Once the new duration has been added click on the green Save button -
After the additional durations have been added, you can update each duration's price by clicking on the Payments tab and then clicking on the blue Edit button on the Payments section -
Update the prices associated with the new durations you added and then click on the green Save button -
Once you've clicked to Save the service will appear updated on the Client Scheduler -
