If you are not offering a service or class anymore, you can deactivate that service or class from your account to prevent clients from being able to book it in the future. Deactivating a service or class does not delete any appointments that have already been booked with you for it - it only prevents any new appointments from being booked in the future. You can delete 1 either from the Active Services List or from the service or class profile itself.
We sometimes refer to services & classes as "reasons" in the Backoffice, as the service or class is the reason for the appointment.
Deleting services and deleting classes in TimeTap are slightly different. To delete a service from the Active Services List, you'll need to navigate to Settings > Services & Classes and then click on the red Delete button to the right of the service you're trying to deactivate -
This will bring up the Deactivate Service window where you can confirm that you want to delete the service from your account -
This will remove the service from your active services list. To delete a class from the Active Service List, you'll need to navigate to the same page and click on the red Delete button to the right of the class you're trying to deactivate -
This will bring up the Deactivate Class window where you can confirm that you want to delete the class from your account -
The difference being that if you currently have any appointments in an Open status scheduled, we will warn you that those appointments will get deleted when you deactivate the class.
If you click on the blue Preview Scheduler button on the upper right of the page, you can test how the scheduling process looks for clients and make sure that the service or class you removed no longer appears in the booking flow.
To delete a service from its service profile, you'll need to navigate to the Service Profile and click on the red Deactivate button directly below the service name -
This will bring up the Deactivate Service window where you can confirm that you want to delete the service from your account -
The same rules apply when deleting a class from its class profile as far as Open appointments are concerned. Either method will remove the service or class from your account.
