%STAFF_IMAGE_URL% is an Email Tag that can be used to populate the URL for the image that has been added to a staff profile, but that tag will only show the text of the URL and will not show the actual image.
The actual image from the staff profile can dynamically be displayed in your messaging by pasting the %STAFF_IMAGE_URL% email tag into the Source field when adding an image to the email template -
While editing an email template, you'll need to select a space where you’d like the picture to appear and select that area with your cursor. Then click on the Insert/edit image icon from the textbox toolbar -
Enter the %STAFF_IMAGE_URL% tag into the Source field of the 'Insert/edit image' window that pops up. You can also set a custom image size by adding proportions in the Dimensions boxes, which can be adjusted specifically to fit your preferences -
Click on the blue Ok button to save these changes. Once you’re done editing the body of the email, you'll need to click on the green Save button on the template itself.
Since the template only has an email tag attached to that image and no specific staff info is yet being passed, the link will appear in the body of that email template as a broken image -
However, once this template gets sent out for an appointment the %STAFF_IMAGE_URL% tag will populate the respective staff’s profile image URL, which will cause the image to get included in the email -
