Location super groups allow you to organize your location groups into even larger groupings. So you can create larger folders that your location group folders get stored in.
For this example let's say you run a fitness studio with facilities located in both Florida and North Carolina. In North Carolina, your offices are located in the Eastern and Western regions of the state, and in Florida your offices are located in the Central and Northern parts of the state. You want to share a link to a booking site with your clients from North Carolina that has a scheduling flow where they will see 2 regions - Eastern & Western. Based on the region they select, different locations will show as options on the scheduler.

A support team member will need to enable the location super groups feature for your account. If you want to give it a try, just ask somebody!
How to Create a Location Super Group
First, you're going to group your 8 locations into 4 location groups - Eastern NC, Western NC, Northern FL and Central FL -
Now that your location groups are set up the way you want them, you're going to create 2 location super groups to organize them even further - North Carolina and Florida. In the North Carolina location super group you're going to include the Eastern NC and Western NC location groups, and in the Florida location super group you're going to include the Northern FL and Central FL location groups. You'll begin by clicking on the Add New Location Super Group button -
This will take you to the Add New Location Super Group page, where you can see the following fields -
- Location Super Group Name - This displays the name of the location super group that clients will see.
- Internal Display Name - This displays the name of the location super group that staff will see.
- Location Super Group Description - This appears under the location super group name on the Client Scheduler.
- Private Location Super Group - This determines if this location super group will be visible on the public scheduler or just on any private booking site and the Backoffice.
- Location Groups to include - Check the boxes next to any location groups that will be included in this location super group.
Finally, you'll need to click on the green Save button on the upper right to add this new location super group. You'll need to repeat the steps from above to add your North Carolina location super group in which you will need to include the Western NC and Eastern NC location groups.
Finally, you'll need to change the Panel Flow found under the Settings > Scheduler Rules & Logic or the custom booking site that contains the location groups so that it includes a Location Super Group panel -
Now when clients visit any of your location super group booking sites, they will see the Location Super Groups panel wherever you placed it in the panel flow -
Then based on the location super group they select the location groups within that super group will be displayed -
And based on the location group they select the locations that are part of that group will be shown -
Editing a Location Super Group
Once you've created a location super group you may decide to change the name of the group or another detail at a later time. To do so, you'll first need to navigate to Settings > Location Groups > Location Super Groups and click on the View button next to the Florida super group -
This will take you to the Location Super Group Profile where you can view the Location Super Group Name, a few text fields that I can use to populate my emails and the custom booking site. To edit this profile page, you'll need to click on the blue Edit button on the upper right of the profile -
You can see that this location group profile consists of 2 sections that can be accessed from the upper left menu, Overview and Locations. You can also view the contents of the Location Groups tab by scrolling down to the bottom of the page, and can add more location groups to the super group by clicking on the blue Edit button at the top of the page.
How to Send Clients to Book at a Location Super Group
If you've added a location super group on your account, you'll want to have a way for clients to get to that group to book. As previously mentioned, when you create a new location super group that group is automatically provided with a private URL.
To view those URLs you'll need to go to Settings > Location Groups > Location Super Groups and you will see the Private URLs next to the location super groups -
Before you can email a location super group link to your clients we recommend creating an invitation template (you can read the step-by-step guide here in our documentation). You'll need to add the private URL to the invitation template, and then you can send them out to your clients!
The one field on the location group profile I want to point out is the Custom Booking Site. Once you have clicked on the Edit button on the profile page, you can scroll down until you see it. You'll need to click on the Create Custom Booking Site button -
And you'll get taken to the Add New Booking Site page where you can give the booking site an Internal Name, a custom Webhandle and choose whether or not to Publish Booking Site -
When you create a new location group the group is automatically given a private URL that will function the same as a custom booking site, I just wanted to show you how you could customize the site a bit more!
