- Editing Service Availability for Days You Have Set Up

With the 3 use cases covered in this documentation, you'll get familiar with the modifying service availability workflow which will get you comfortable making changes to your own schedule. Just remember the oft-repeated advice to test the changes you make to make sure they look good for your clients!
For instance, let's say Staff 4 has their service availability set up from 5/29/26 - Onward on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM & 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM and on Fridays from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. We want to change it so that this staff's Friday hours match their Monday and Wednesday hours.
To make a change like this, you'll need to navigate to the Service Availability tab of the staff profile and hover your mouse over the day you want to edit, in this case Friday, and then click on the blue edit icon next to it -
This will put Friday into edit mode where you can adjust the hours of availability for that day -
You'll want to find the hours for Friday and the first thing you'll want to do is adjust the end time to be the same as Monday and Wednesday -
You'll then want to click on the black button with a white + inside it, which will insert a break into the middle of the availability to match the hours that we have set up for Monday and Wednesday. Once you have added the break, you'll need to click on the green button with a white checkmark inside it -
Once you have clicked on that green button, the staff's service availability will update so that Monday, Wednesday and Friday they are available from 8:00am-12:00pm & 1:00pm-5:00pm -
From here, we do recommend clicking on the blue Preview Scheduler button on the upper right so that you can test the changes you just made by viewing how the availability will appear to clients booking services on the Client Scheduler.
This will bring up the Add New Day window where you can select which day you want to add to the staff's schedule for the date range and customize the hours of availability for it. Depending on the hours of availability you want to set up for this new day, you may need to make some further edits. Once you've got this set up, click on the green Save Day to Date Range button to add the day to the staff's schedule -
This will add the day to the existing date range of availability under the staff person's Service Availability tab -
At this point, it would be a wise idea to go ahead and test out these scheduling modifications by clicking on the blue Preview Scheduler button on the upper right of the staff profile. That way you can click through the panels on your scheduler to make sure that Thursdays have been added to the staff's availability!
First navigate to the Service Availability tab on the staff profile who you wish to update. Move your mouse over the day you want to remove and click on the red delete icon -
Removing a day from your service availability only has an affect on future bookings. Any bookings that have already been added to the staff's schedule for the day being removed will remain on the staff's schedule.
Once you've removed that day, the staff's Service Availability page will be updated with the day you removed no longer showing -
Now, in order to add Friday to the date range, click on the blue Add Day link -
Select which day of the week you want to add availability for and customize the hours of availability, and then click on the green Save Day to Date Range button to add the selected day of the week to the available date range -
Now you'll have successfully edited the availability for that date range so that the staff is no longer available for appointments on Thursday and is available for appointments on Friday -
As always, go ahead and test out these scheduling modifications by clicking on the blue Preview Scheduler button on the upper right of your staff profile.
